Has there been anything resolved about having a Command Staff meeting before flight times?
Thanks

Not that I know of yet. Pre Mission time seems to be taken up shaking out the bugs and getting people set up. There was something a week ago last Saturday, noon Eastern, but now I have JO Classes until around 1:00 Eastern, for a month. Anybody else?

Do not limit 'briefings' or pre-flight to just Command Staff before a flight.
Hecks bells, even in the movies all pilots were gathered to get their mission briefing together, before taking off.
A meeting with all pilots will give them the chance for folks to loosen up, do some mental 'stretch' and relaxation excercises in thinking about the mission and just chat a while; and get things in order.
If folks don't want to attend, no problem, that's their choice.
......................
You guys are a 'team' regardless of rank. No need to be exclusive for pre-flight talk.
That's what turned me off with many squadrons.
Offered in the "For whatever its worth" category.

~S~All! Last Saturday, I stayed on-line at TS from 11h55 to 12h20 (in fact, I was "booted-out" by TS, probably for no-activity). If you want to make it at 14h00 EDT, so be it. To Ed Philly; those reunions are only for "administration". If someone wants to get involved more deeper into AAC business, he simply has to show is dedication and commitment and staff will certainly take notice and have him join. Ranks means nothing to me. But "chain of command" does. Maintaining a WEB site, taking care of communications, preparing specific add-ons, discipline matters... we need some kind of direction and this is the part where "staff" gets involved. During our missions, it is not rare to see a 2nd Lieutenant lead the entire wing - made out of majors and colonel - to the fight. IF you want to "pull rank" during games, then AAC is not for you. But someone has to "mop the floor" from time to time. Hope you understand.

Ditto Hubba, As per a series of suggestions made earlier, That is why the Command Staff was incorporated, To take care of Administrative duties, and thank you for clearing that up....... Mission briefings have nothing to do with Admin duties.. By the way.................Who is EdPhilly Thank you Bandit

I'll just mop the floors from now on and fetch coffee as needed....lol Take care, Ed

Hubba,
I mean not to start any kind of pss'g contest but...
you're response is .....
I was only trying to help after so many years of online combat.
I am experienced.
you claim experience in combat. I do not dispute that.
But don't put me down as a un-experimenter pilot.
Is the AAC for me? yes, if I could fly. Don't insult me with that statement.
I could whup your butt in one-on-one combat anytime.
As for your comment about "the AAC might be not right for you"...negative.
It is the one unit aside from the 213 Hornets that I would like to join. But medical things prohibit me me from flying. Heck,...even trying to type this is a beach.
try holding the mouse with both hands to just click on a subject
And my name is Ed not Ed Philly as you well know.

~S~ Ed, I am Bandit, Operations Officer for the AAC, I don't know whats up between you and Hubba, and I'm sure that he is not trying to insult you in any way shape or form, All we want here in the AAC is to fly and have fun, What we don't want is a bunch of drama, I have been with enough squadrons to know that's Not what we are about.
You are welcome to fly with the AAC But I would appreciate leaving any and all petty differences out of the air and this forum.
Thank you, and I look forward to flying with you soon.

~S~ Ed....Easy big fella!!! Hubba is referring to administrative meetings that we have amongst the Command Staff in order to discuss issues that we then bring to the membership for discussion and votes. As far as Briefings, all pilots are given the basics of the mission profile. I reserve the finer points (i.e. Waypoint Coords, Alt. & Speed Settings, Mission Map) for Flightleaders that I choose ahead of time. This is due to not knowing all the players until Mission Start. We divide into Allied & Axis flights just before game...so I have to be careful as to "Who I tell what"! I'm sure Hubba meant no disrespect...and I hope none was taken. We gather an hour prior to Mission Launch to catch up with eachother and prepare for the flight. During this time, we try to solve any Tech issues that someone might be having. It's all in the spirit of fun and cooperation. Feel free to join us in TS if you'd like to just listen in and meet the fellas on mission day. You'll soon learn the spirit in which we work much better than I can explain it in the written word....~S~

~S~ Edju What the heck are you talking about? I defy you to find me saying so. In fact; I know you are a very good pilot. You seem to forget that we flew once together. If your health ever permits it, come and joined us one Sunday.

Folks,
I take no offense at words spoken.
Boy is this going to be tough. I won't use spell check as it changes my words or UN-experimental to to unexpiecdned. d**n that spell chech.
But as a pilot I can be your greatest leader or wingman,...or your worst bandit.
Bandit, thanks for your kind wods.
I will post memory picutres on the SOH forum
That's all I got to say.
Ed
and Hubba, that edit was different edit of my my words.
I have no quarrel with you
