... giving birth, someone once said. Well, this one was not a C-section, but close. The gathering. Cobra is on the lead, followed by Limy, Graham, Rap, and yours truly. Bluezulu was experiencing problems with his panel. Then it was Graham turn to experience problems. Note that his aircraft is pointing in the wrong direction. In fact, he was making "donuts". Eventually, he would be a scratch for this one.

We finally took off in a loose formation. Note the time on my clock; this is a hole hour gone by as the saved flights start at 1200 hours! And this is only the time in game... Under Cobra's supervision, the flight flew under 300 feet. Note that the altitude showed by the altimeter and the universal coordinates reflect Mean Sea Level. You must subtract 200-250 feet to get AGL height. We passed bomb range #1 to our port side. Not long after, I left the formation to take position as the "wall" at bomb range #3. By that time, Bluezulu was gone. But a flight of three Lancs still look quite impressive. A quirk in the game made Cobra's gears appeared to be down, but he assured me that it was not the case.

This is Limy going over the "wall" (me) after his first drop... ... followed closely by RAP. Note that Limy's propellers are visible, but not moving, while RAP has none. More quirks! I think that RAP took a liking for Limy as he sticked to his tail for the duration. Officially, RAP was simply following Limy because he didn't had the marking green target installed. It was probably a good idea; Limy, after two "near misses", scored two "bull's eye". This is his third practice bombs about to make a hit in the target. Jolly good show Limy!

Cobra had some trouble getting a good line-up, as in this case when he went over me after an aborted approach. But on a good note; his gears were finally retracted! Limy was definitely our "bomber of the day". This is his second direct hit on its way down, visible just under RAP left wing. But, eventually, everyone got decent drops on the target, even Cobra as this last picture shows. In conclusion, I would only have three words; PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! Limy has done his homeworks and it shows. Cobra has been a great help during the week and, of course, during that practice flight. RAP also got some good hits, but this is sheer talent! One last comment; if any of you has panel issues, send me an email , preferably with a screen capture, and I will do my best to find a solution.
