With the arrival of AAC_Fleet, AAC pilots (and able seamen... ) must learn how to save and load a flight. Ships don't fly and don't land, so they have to be "laid gently" on the water. For that, you must have CFO installed properly.
For that purpose, enter first into a Freeflight session with the ship of your choice and its full load-out of ammo and fuel;
Place the coordinates over water preferably and adjust altitude to ZERO (+0). All ships are perfectly adjusted as to "sit" horizontally on water, no explosion should occur.
Click on Cfo and, in the drop-down menu, select Save Flight...;
In the window that appears, type an evocative title. HINT;using zeroes should place this title on top.
You can also put a description in the lower window, but this is not mandatory. I suggest that you do it for flights you intend to keep for a long period. You could indicate heading, weather, time of the day... that sort of things.
Once you click on Ok, your flight is saved and you are returned to the game. Using Aircraft menu, you can save as many different ships to the same coordinates as you want, just remember to give them a different title, otherwise you will "crush" the previous saved flight!
Now, upon entering a multiplayer game, choose the ship you intend to use during the game. You could as well enter the game in any aircraft or ship but, this way, organizers and players can make out who's who;
Upon entering the game, wait until it is fully loaded and you start to fall. Then click Alt key and, this time, go to Select Flight in Cfo drop-down menu.
All the saved flights you have will appear in a window. Highlight the one you need and click Ok, you will be returned to the game in the preset conditions of the flight you choose.
This means that you will be in the ship of your choice at the coordinates of your choice with the weather, time, heading, and speed you had when you saved that flight.
For games, organizers may send you "pre-saved" flights. These are text files with the suffix .FLT and a name corresponding to the title they received. Just placed them in your Pilots folder and load them the same way as described above.
This should expedite matters in "pre-game" delays and is a "must" to organize convoys without dropping on everyone else! ;D
I hope this tutorial-of-sort will help you.
If you need more explanation, don't hesitate to post here.
