I was honorably discharged from VMF-712 in 2005 and have not been interested in CFS flying since my father's death in 2005. He was my real WW II hero. Now, I am regaining interest in flying one of the MS Combat Flight Sims (I have all 3) as intertainment.
I was Top Gun in the squadron once, 2nd place the next year. Starting out at the bottom is not a problem for me, a pilot must prove himself to his squadron mates.
Location is in the Central USA.
Former callsign was VMF712_Bear.

I remember flying with a "Bear" at Joint-Ops, any relation?
Anyway, before signing in for good, come and fly with us on our daily Sunday mission. We have an "open doors" policy and you don't need to be an AAC member to participate.
If you really want to be part of the AAC, do read our Charter. Nothing fancy, just common sense put in words.
You will start probably at 2nd Lieutenant level but progression depends not only on flying prowess but also on commitment to the outfit an leadership.
They're few ranks among us; from 2nd Lieutenant to Captain among AAC members and from Major to Colonel among staff members. These ranks are more for day-to-day affairs. In mission, all members take lead position one after the other.
So, get your essentials files (see for links in this forum and at our WEB pages) and get ready for fun.
BTW- If you're eager to "flex your muscles" before Sunday, just go to our TS channel (I.P. must be around somewhere) and see if any "private" action is brewing. Some of our members sleep in front of their PC... or so it seems! ;D
