some burning questions woke me up last night; could I please get some information about auto follow? I would like to know how it works? how does one activate and disable it? what does the 5 in FOLLOWING_MULTIPLIER=5 mean? does it follow on another's 6 or can it to be adjusted to follow off a wing? can the following distance be adjusted? can more than one player follow one without collision? what happens if the aircraft being followed is shot down? I'm sure there are more questions, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
there maybe potential for a multi machine "AI" bomber formation here.

~S~...Ooooh!...interesting concept! We were just talking about it today during the mission and how it was related to the collision bubble! I would bet that Hubba or Rebel could shed some light...I'm glad to see you still chomping at the game...if only on the edges!

The only experimentation I ever did with auto-follow was with you and, as far as I remember, we kept exploding! Remember?
Auto-follow is not working with reduced collision bubbles and with COMBATFS.CFG > [MULTIPLAYER] > COLLISION_SECS= set at -2.
I don't remember which one, or if the two, caused the explosions.
We never explored the "FOLLOWING_MULTIPLIER" issue.
