greetings all,
as those who have attempted to connect
to the aac teamspeak server know,
the server has been down since the first of july.
apparently, the dyn/dns host has changed
from freeware to a payware service.
i will not go into the reasons this service is necessary,
unless someone really wants to know.
let's just say, with my dynamic ip, it is required.
it seems that my account was deactivated
and i was sent notification via an old,
unused email account, which i rarely look at.
that is, not until i was testing teamspeak
and got the Socket Error 11004 message.
by then, it was too late and the account was gone...
pity i wasn't informed of the issue earlier.
the old freeware accounts were grandfathered in.
so it goes.
at this point, i am not up for paying for a new account
just so i can host teamspeak which i don't use anymore.
to top it off, when i came home from work last thursday,
the machine i've been using 24/7 for many years
as the teamspeak server, was dead.
i don't know what is wrong with it.
i haven't had the time to check it out.
sorry guys. i hate to let you down.
i guess it's time for someone else
to pickup the ball.
